Adam is at high school, helping his friend write a paper when everything goes dark. No power and no phones, but Adam is one of the lucky few whose old car does not rely on computer chips, so at least he has transportation. Over the next few days, the world begins to unravel as the outage continues. Adam, along with his police chief mother, and his former spy neighbor, must get the neighborhood working together for food, for supplies, for protection, and for survival.
This book was incredibly realistic! It is a bit horrifying to think how easily our society could completely unravel. I was totally engrossed in this book. Time to become a doomsday prepper!
